Hi!

My names is Lukas and this page was created as a platform to share the work of the many Box Camera photographers out there.

I got interested in Box Camera Photography in Afghanistan after seeing photographers on the streets in Mazar-e-Sharif with my colleague Sean Foley in 2006. A few years later we found ourselves back in Afghanistan researching the history on Afghan Box Cameras. More about that here. Since then I have been collecting Box Camera photographs and building cameras in different countries.
